When we are good, good things happen to us. When we are disobedient, there are lessons we all must learn. At a time when I was questioning everything happening in my life and while losing my dignity, I heard a knock at the door, and my training began.

THE BASICS

I would have never guessed an opportunity to learn would come knocking at my door. There were no signs, just an artist needing help with music work. The challenge that presented itself came from a jail cell. An independent artist from our Bay Area wanted to network with producers, but the catch was his recordings were all done on a cell phone.

The Roadwork

My task was to put together the voice in line with the instrumentals. But first, I had to clean up the vocals.
I began by removing the background noise present in his vocal tracks. It was a trial and error while I learned the software I had. We both agreed my technic made a difference. So he had me clean up the vocal tracks while other producers did the rest of the work.

Some things in life have no explanation. For others, the affirmation is in plain sight.
The problem we run into is that in the middle of a storm, it’s hard to see at times. But when God is involved, He will ensure nothing gets left out. He made sure my training would benefit His plans. He knew my passion would not back down from a good challenge for glorifying His Son.
